Logistics Manager

Interfoto-CDENS is looking for an experienced and hands-on Logistics Manager to join our team in Midrand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and distribution process, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently and delivered on time. The role will involve managing transport planning, fleet coordination, third-party delivery partners and the performance of the logistics team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a product distribution environment, preferably within consumer electronics, technical products, retail distribution, hardware or a related industry.

1. Qualifications and Experience:

· Proven experience in Logistics Management, Distribution or Supply Chain.

· Experience managing outbound freight, vehicle fleets and delivery operations.

· Experience managing and leading a logistics team.

· Experience within a product distribution, retail, consumer electronics, technical products, hardware or related environment will be advantageous.

· Practical experience with warehouse management, stock management and dispatch systems.

· Strong knowledge of delivery planning, route planning and transport coordination.

· Knowledge of South African road transport and safety requirements.

· Experience managing third-party courier and transport providers.

· Strong reporting and analytical skills.

· A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management or a related field will be advantageous.

3. Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Distribution

· Manage the full order fulfilment and dispatch process, from receiving orders through to delivery and reconciliation.

· Coordinate picking, packing, dispatch and delivery activities to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

· Plan and optimise delivery routes and transport schedules.

· Manage outbound freight, vehicle fleets and distribution operations.

· Monitor deliveries and resolve delays, discrepancies and customer delivery issues.

· Ensure products are handled, stored and dispatched according to company procedures.

· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, stock movements and logistics activities.

Team Management & Operations

· Manage and oversee the day-to-day performance of the logistics team.

· Set clear performance and quality standards and hold team members accountable.

· Provide coaching, guidance and support to team members.

· Manage attendance, discipline and operational performance where required.

· Ensure the team operates efficiently while maintaining high service and quality standards.

Transport & Third-Party Partners

· Identify, negotiate with and manage third-party courier and transport service providers.

· Monitor service levels, delivery performance and associated costs.

· Ensure transport providers meet agreed service and delivery standards.

· Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery operations.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

· Develop and maintain logistics reports covering delivery performance, costs, fleet utilisation and service levels.

· Analyse logistics data to identify operational challenges and areas for improvement.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer service.

· Implement and monitor improvements to logistics and fulfilment processes.

· Ensure logistics processes remain efficient and scalable as the business grows.

Stakeholder Management

· Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Finance and other internal departments to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.

· Communicate effectively with management regarding logistics performance, challenges and costs.

· Assist in resolving customer and internal delivery-related queries.

Pay: R1,00 - R2,00 per month
