SUMMARY: We are recruiting a Logistics Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, material flow, inventory control and dispatch activities within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities Supervise all inbound and outbound logistics activities. Manage material flow to production lines, ensuring uninterrupted supply. Lead warehouse, dispatch, receiving and line-feeding teams. Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock control. Coordinate deliveries with customers, suppliers and transport providers. Ensure compliance with FIFO, JIT and Kanban principles. Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, safety and cost reduction. Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards within the logistics area. Monitor logistics KPIs including inventory accuracy, delivery performance and stock variances. Ensure compliance with customer, quality, safety and company requirements. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing or related field advantageous. 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Sound knowledge of JIT, FIFO, Kanban, SAP\/ERP systems and warehouse management. Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills. Computer literate (MS Office and ERP systems). Valid driver''''''''s licence. Advantageous Experience with OEM customer requirements in the Automotive Industry Essential. Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
