Logistics Supervisor

Storeplay (Pty) Ltd is seeking a proactive and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of daily logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods, coordinating deliveries to project sites, managing transport schedules, and leading the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily deliveries to customer and project sites.
• Develop and manage delivery schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Supervise the loading and dispatch of vehicles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Factory, and Project Managers to prioritise deliveries.
• Optimise vehicle utilisation and delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor transport costs, fuel usage, and logistics performance.
• Manage third-party transport providers where required.
• Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and report vehicle defects.
• Investigate and resolve delivery delays, shortages, and customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, road transport legislation, and health and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-4 years' experience in logistics, transport within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of route planning, fleet coordination, dispatch operations, and inventory movement.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Valid Code B driver's licence.

Essential Requirements

• Must reside in the Cape Town.
• Must have reliable transport.
• Willing to work overtime and after hours when operationally required.
• Experience in the shopfitting, furniture manufacturing, joinery industry will be highly advantageous.
