Machine Operator

MACHINE OPERATOR – ENTRY LEVEL

Location: Epping, Cape Town

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Machine Operator to join a manufacturing company based in Epping.

The company specialises in the manufacture and supply of metal pressings and springs, wire forms and strip springs.

This is an entry-level position, but candidates must have some engineering/manufacturing experience or exposureand a willingness to learn and develop within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in the manufacturing of metal components.
• Assist with machine setup and basic adjustments.
• Load and remove materials and components from machines.
• Monitor machines during production to ensure they are operating correctly.
• Carry out basic quality checks on finished products.
• Follow production instructions and engineering specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report machine faults or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
• Previous engineering, manufacturing or factory experience is essential.
• Basic understanding of machinery, tools and engineering/manufacturing processes.
• Mechanically minded and comfortable working with industrial machinery.
• Able to follow instructions and work accurately.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Able to work as part of a production team.
• Must be able to travel reliably to Epping.

This position would suit someone who has gained some practical experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment and is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and gain further machine-operating experience.
