Maintenance Fitter and Turner: Cater Chain

Introduction

Assist both internal and external customers in a professional and friendly manner and ensure machine breakdown is resolved.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Planned preventative maintenance and condition monitoring
• Perform Repair maintenance and proactive maintenance
• Machine refurbishments and plant improvements
• Adhering to Job cards procedures
• Interpreting drawings, diagrams and specifications and determining suitable materials and sequence of operations.
• Checking fabricated and assembled parts for fit and finish, tolerances and accuracy using precision measuring tools.
• Using machinery and tools to form raw materials into finished products by cutting, pressing, grinding, planning, boring and drilling.
• Performing routine maintenance of machines and tools and diagnosing and repairing faults.
• Use welding techniques and machining processes to replace and repair parts.
• Cutting, threading, bending and installing pipes and lines for hydraulic components.
• Following safety protocols by good Housekeeping and adhering to all applicable SHE practices

Desired Experience & Qualification

Mechanical fitter and turner Trade test and N4

At least 2yrs work experience as a fitter post trade test attainment

FMCG experience would be an advantage

Intermediate to advance knowledge of Ms suite (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point)

Good Communication Skills and basic computer skills

Inventory management systems

Interpersonal relationship skills.

Planning and organizational skills.

Attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure
