ProFix Coastal Services is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance General Worker to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is practical, hardworking and able to carry out a wide range of general maintenance work at residential, commercial and sectional-title properties.

Key Responsibilities

• General building and property maintenance
• Plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Electrical repairs and maintenance
• Painting, preparation and touch-ups
• Grinding and cutting
• Paving and paving repairs
• Plastering and patching
• Minor brickwork and building repairs
• Repairs to doors, locks, fixtures and fittings
• Minor carpentry and general handyman work
• Assisting with maintenance projects and site work
• General labour duties when required
• Keeping work areas clean and safe
• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting larger problems

Requirements

• Must be based in the Cape Town Northern Suburbs
• Previous plumbing experience – essential
• Previous electrical experience – essential
• Painting experience – essential
• Experience with grinding and cutting
• Experience with paving
• Experience with plastering and patching
• Previous handyman or property maintenance experience
• Able to use power tools and hand tools safely
• Practical problem-solving skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver's licence would be an advantage

Important

This is a hands-on maintenance position. We are looking for someone who can work independently and is comfortable doing a wide variety of physical maintenance tasks.

The successful candidate should have practical experience in plumbing, electrical work, painting, grinding, paving, plastering, building repairs and general handyman work.

The position will involve travelling between different properties and maintenance sites, primarily within the Northern Suburbs and surrounding areas.
