Auto Electrician / Millwright – Heavy Mobile Equipment - Belgium
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician or Millwright with a strong background in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical and electronic systems on heavy mobile equipment.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience working on trucks, buses, mining equipment, earthmoving machinery, or other heavy-duty mobile assets. This role is ideally suited to a technician whose experience is predominantly focused on auto-electrical systems rather than mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic faults on heavy mobile equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Install, repair, and replace wiring harnesses, sensors, control modules, and electrical components.
- Conduct fault finding using diagnostic software, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair CAN Bus communication faults.
- Maintain and repair vehicle lighting, charging, starting, and battery systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic engine management systems and control units.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform inspections and identify potential electrical failures before breakdowns occur.
- Support equipment reliability initiatives through root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards.
- Complete maintenance documentation and service reports accurately.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Auto Electrician or Millwright.
- Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience in a heavy mobile equipment environment.
- Proven experience working on trucks, buses, mining equipment, earthmoving equipment, or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong auto-electrical experience with electrical fault finding as a primary responsibility.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and electronic fault-finding equipment.
- Sound knowledge of DC electrical systems, electronic controls, sensors, relays, and CAN Bus systems.
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions in a breakdown environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
