Job description
Our client based in Parow Industrial, Cape Town, is seeking a Management Accountant. The suitable candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data and providing strategic reporting to support executive decision-making. This role involves managing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, overseeing budgetary processes, and delivering actionable financial insights across business units.
Salary: TCTC Market related
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Financial Reporting - Generate and validate comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
● Execute core management accounting functions to maintain operational financial control
● Forecasting - Direct the annual budgeting process and streamline organizational forecasting models
● Cost & Profit Analysis - Analyze cost structures and contribution margins to optimize profitability across all units
● Strategic Business Partnering - Collaborate with operational leadership to translate complex data into strategic business insights
● Production Cost Management & Analysis - Manage manufacturing cost analysis and reporting to improve production efficiency
● Evaluate business expenditure to drive cost optimization and fiscal discipline
● Payroll Reporting - Assist with payroll reporting and related reconciliation processes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
● Education: BCom Honours Degree in Management Accounting or Finance. A completed CIMA or SAIPA qualification is highly advantageous
● 2-4 years experience in a management accounting role
● Understanding of tax compliance, including all types of tax reporting and regulatory requirements
● Previous exposure to logistics, supply chain, retail operations, or project-based environments will be a distinct advantage
● Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling) and strong practical experience with modern ERP systems
● Communicate financial strategies effectively to diverse stakeholders and leadership
