Job description
Bounty Apparel is the footwear and apparel division of Bounty Brands. The Management Accountant will support the Finance and FP&A team by preparing accurate financial analysis, management reporting, reconciliations, and commercial insights to support decision-making across brands and channels (wholesale and direct to customers).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Team to ensure effective functioning of finance activities through accurate, timely and efficient execution of key finance activities.
- Partner with key stakeholders by preparing financial analysis, extracting data, interpreting trends, and providing commercial insights.
- To support the Finance Team in analysing the monthly company management reports and financial performance of brands and channels.
- Assist in preparing the monthly Management committee presentation deck.
- Analyse bi-annual brand reviews and provide interpretation and commentary.
- Prepare month-end reports, accruals and reconciliations including those related to principals, cash-ups, and e-commerce.
- Prepare sales, royalty, and other reports for Brand Principals.
- Manage the calendar and deadlines for all Principals submissions.
- Provide retail and e-commerce financial support, as required.
- Assist and support FP&A with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- To review and correct cost allocations.
- Perform sundry cost centre management activities.
- Ensure related standard operating procedures are adhered to and adjusted as required.
- To support the finance team with ad hoc projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Essential : BCom (majoring in Finance)
- Desirable : Partially or fully CIMA/SAICA qualified
- Essential : Intermediate to Advanced level MS Excel
- Essential : At least 2 years relevant finance experience
- Desirable : 1 year post articles experience
