Manager: Key Account

The Role

JOB PURPOSE

RTT invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Key Account Manager position based in Port Elizabeth. The role is responsible for maintaining relationships with clients and growing current client portfolios to assist the organisation in achieving its targets. The incumbent in the role will serve as the first point of contact for clients and is required to communicate client requirements with internal stakeholders to ensure that service delivery is in line with agreed terms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key healthcare clients.
• Develop strategic account plans tailored to each client’s needs and business goals.
• Ensure timely, compliant, and efficient delivery of services, including cold chain, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
• Track KPIs and service levels and proactively address any issues or deviations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
• Collaborate with operations, compliance, customer service, and IT teams to deliver seamless service.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell logistics solutions within existing accounts.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.
• Provide regular performance and service reports to clients and internal stakeholders

JOB – RELATED REQUIREMENTS

Minimum:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)

• 4 years’ experience in a similar role in logistics (Essential)

• Experience in Healthcare (Advantageous)

• Understanding of cold chain logistics, pharmaceutical distribution, medical device handling and regulatory requirements

• Knowledge of supply chain processes
