FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to join our vibrant team. Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage, or related field
  • 5 – 7 years progressive experience in Food and Beverage operations, preferably in multi-unit or cluster environments
  • Matric
  • Computer literate with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, word and Excel
  • Proficiency in POS, Stock and PMS Systems and Plus Point
  • Proven experience in managing restaurant, bar, banqueting, room service operations and service standards within the Hospitality Industry.
  • Proven experience in Banqueting and conference experience across multiple venues.
  • Strong financial understanding and ability to manage departmental budgets
  • Advanced knowledge of cost of sales, profit margins and stock control
  • Valid RSA ID and RSA driver`s license with own reliable vehicle
  • Strong command of English and good financial understanding
  • Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills with members of staff as well as Guest`s of the Hotel.
  • Great attention to detail, drive excellence in customer service, food and beverage quality and overall customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational, time management, and reporting skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
  • Ethical, reliable and confidentiality-driven with a hands-on approach, a team player who leads by example.
  • Lead and motivate service team, implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Hands -on problem solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day Food and Beverage operations across all outlets, fostering a culture of teamwork, engagement and continuous improvements
  • Support the smooth running of the Food and Beverage department, where all aspects of the guest food and beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels.
  • Coordinate promotions, activations and events.
  • Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries, monitoring guest feedback, monitoring service delivery to ensure consistent, high-quality guest experiences and lead the service improvement initiatives
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability and cost control across all Food and Beverage operations,
  • Develop, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans, develop and implement Food and Beverage business plans aligned with organisational goals. Manages the Food and Beverage team; fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department, lead, coach and develop Food and Beverage Team Members.
  • Responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Accountable for driving a strong service culture aligned with brand values to ensure that performance levels are attained
  • Tracking all KPI`S such as cost of sales, labour productivity and average check, analyse the financial data to support decision-making and improving staff performance.
  • Delivers effective programmes that advance service standards, profitability and cost control, optimize service flow, staffing and operational efficiency across all outlets.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, food safety regulations and HACCP requirements
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to all Company policies, controls, reporting standards and legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required
