Job description
Location City of Ekurhuleni Remuneration R 704 688 to R 966 720 - Basic salary per annum (plus benefits) Assignment Type Permanent Minimum Requirements:
- B Degree in Public Administration / Local Government or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- 6 years' experience in a managerial environment
- Leadership and management skills
- Good communication and interpretation skills
- Report writing skills
- Performance and stakeholder management skills
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic input, capability and leadership in the development of the petitions and hearings policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the petitions and hearings service
- Plan and implement operational processes that are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure implementation of the operational processes as contemplated in the defined operational strategy of the division
- Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities within the petitions and hearings section of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements
- Participate and implement in the financial processes of the division during budgetary processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
- Manage and ensure customer service orientation to ensure sound relations with the customer in relation to petitions and hearings activities
