Manager: Supply & Logistics

The incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end management and optimisation of logistics, supply and retail operations, ensuring product availability, efficient distribution, effective inventory management and seamless returns while driving cost efficiency and continuous improvement.

Retail Supply Management

Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities. (e.g. rand against dollar).

Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

Successfully communicating forecast and inventory estimations to management.

Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.

Conducting monthly forecast maintenance.

Addressing demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Monitoring manufacturing production and supply.

Mitigating and preventing stock losses.

Ensuring smooth distribution and adequate stock across all retailers.

Minimising in store stock depletions.

Liaising with distributors and independent stores regularly.

Conducting trade visits with Area Managers to ensure correct stock levels are maintained.

Conducting monthly meetings with regional managers.

Facilitating workshops/training with retailers and installers nationally.

Maintaining client relationships and high customer satisfaction levels.

Follow up on issues identified during retail visits and drive accountability for corrective actions.

Support consistent in-store execution and strengthen the retail presence across channels.

Logistics Management

Overseeing and optimising logistics operations, including warehouse management, transportation, and distribution to retail stores.

Working with logistics partners to ensure on-time deliveries and manage transportation costs effectively.

Coordinating and managing stock movement between the warehouse and retail outlets, ensuring inventory levels meet demand forecasts.

Troubleshooting and resolving any logistics-related issues to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to the supply chain.

Tracking and reporting on the efficiency of logistics processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Returns Management

Own the end-to-end returns process.

Enforce the returns policy and ensure returns are processed swiftly and accurately.

Monitor returns trends and identify operational or supply issues requiring corrective action.

Brand Awareness

Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams that support sales growth and market expansion.

Plan, coordinate and execute in-store and retail marketing activations to drive brand visibility, customer engagement and sales uplift.

Support retail and supply initiatives that enable sustainable revenue growth.

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) - Essential

National Diplomain Supply Chain & Logistics (NQF Level 6) - Essential

Experience

2 years in Supply Chain & Logistics - Essential

Drivers License - Essential

Language Proficiency

English - Intermediate

Technology Proficiency

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Intermediate
