About The Company
The Company clears, recovers and adds value to waste hard-to-manage industrial waste. We serve mines, cement plants, industry and government, and turn their waste into recovered materials and audit-ready ESG results. We are part of a green-economy group.

The role
You will lead The Company and own its growth. You will win and keep mine, cement, industrial and government clients, lead proposals and tenders and build the partnerships that let a small team deliver at scale. This is a founding leadership role in a three-person core team.

What you will do

Set strategy, the annual plan and the budget and report to the CEO.
Build and manage the client pipeline, from finding mines with waste problems to signed contracts.
Lead first meetings, qualification, commercial proposals, pricing and tender submissions.
Negotiate and sign contracts across managed services, stockpile clearance, on-site operations, supply agreements and enterprise development partnerships.
Manage key partnerships with investors and development finance institutions.
Oversee cash flow and credit control, and protect The Company's intellectual property.
Lead the Technical and Operations Director and the Projects, Compliance and Client Success Manager.

What you bring

10+ years in business development, commercial or general management, ideally in mining, mining services, cement, waste management or industrial services.
A track record of winning contracts with mines or large industrial clients, including tenders and supplier onboarding.
Credibility with mine managers, procurement and ESG teams.
A working understanding of B-BBEE, the Mining Charter, Social and Labour Plans and enterprise and supplier development.
A relevant degree (commercial, engineering or environmental); an MBA or similar is an advantage.
An entrepreneurial, hands-on style: comfortable building from the ground up.
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
