Main purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team and support the coordination and execution of campaigns across retail, digital, events and reader communities. The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive and creative, with a passion for books and marketing. They should enjoy bringing ideas to life, be able to juggle multiple projects and be eager to learn and grow within the publishing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of marketing campaigns for new releases, key titles and promotions.
• Assist with retailer promotions, competitions, displays and digital campaigns.
• Assist with coordinating influencer and book community campaigns.
• Assist with sourcing and gathering book covers, author images, lifestyle images and other visual assets needed for campaigns.
• Package and coordinate the distribution of books, review copies, influencer mailers and competition prizes.
• Support digital marketing activities, including newsletters, social media content and competitions.
• Assist with monthly marketing reports.
• Process invoices, couriers and other marketing administration.
• Provide general support to the Marketing Manager and wider Marketing team.

Skills and requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good Microsoft Office skills; Canva experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of social media and digital marketing.
• Creative, proactive and willing to learn.
• An interest in books, publishing and consumer trends.
• Willingness to assist at occasional after-hours events.
