Join Woolworths FBH as a Marketing Co-Ordinator, based in Cape Town. As a leading South African retailer committed to quality, innovation, and transformation, Woolworths offers an exciting opportunity to shape customer-focused and commercially viable seasonal product strategies.

In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate all marketing and promotional activities across the product lifecycle, from initial design brief through to in-store execution. This includes managing TV shoots, editorials, advertorials, and in-store processes, ensuring all activities are delivered on time and aligned to the critical path. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, maintain brand consistency, and support the successful launch of products within the group.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 1- 2 years relevant admin experience in a retail/clothing/creative environment
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
  • Experience in a similar role (advantageous)

  • Understanding of PLM software (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies
  • Understanding of the product life cycle and the role of marketing
  • Familiarity with promotional activities such as TV shoots, editorials, and in-store processes
  • Familiarity with product review processes and documentation
  • Awareness of critical path management and adherence
  • Knowledge of sample management processes and coordinating sample rails for various shoots and activities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate Product Handovers
    • Collate relevant product Product Review information, share with VM, Instore, Marketing, Online and Sales Management and ensure they are aware of deadlines and relevant instore month
    • Set up select sets, collaborate with Buying and planning Team to update, and prepare samples for Marketing Handovers, Marketing Shoots, VM Handovers etc.
    • Manage instore process from start to finish. – instore build, instore shoot, instore guide. Collaborate with design, buying, marketing and the VM team to coordinate the instore process and ensure that well balanced appealing looks / bodies are produced for the monthly instore guide.
    • Brief any product substitutes for in-season bodies and late deliveries, and work closely with Sales Management to navigate shifts
    • Communicate any product lates, earlies and substitutions to Stores, online,VM, Marketing and Selling
    • Ensure that every campaign has an online basket that supports the campaign and top to toe dressing – coordinate / manage stock availably for these baskets with buying and planning
    • Provide weekly trade reporting for online to management
    • Share online visibility reports with teams weekly, manage any queries relating to the reports
    • Manage online sample process for the group
    • Coordinate product information and tracking of product for marketing launches
  • Sample Management
    • Coordinate, manage and communicate with Buying for marketing, online, VM and in-store sample deadlines. (Attend weekly buying meetings and keep teams updated on instore, VM, online and marketing initiatives, communicate critical paths and deadlines to teams)
    • Organise sample rails for in-store shoots, Online, VM and Marketing. Co-ordinate flow of garments. Communicate and manage the groups critical path for instore, online, marketing and VM
  • Stakeholder engagement
    • Support with instore process, marketing, VM and Online and help prepare sample rails with Buying, aligned to assortment plan by store catalogue
    • Collaborate with online on a daily basis regarding product queries
    • Ensure photographs and product detail is loaded into PLM for approved bodies
    • Liaise with online merchandisers and copy teams regarding product queries and features and benefits of products
    • Weekly meetings with the online studio to drive the groups strategy and vision of top to toe dressing and ensure best practice
    • Weekly check in meetings with marketing and online to align on campaign launches
    • Manage, liaise and coordinate information between groups and relevant stakeholders. To ensure that the key messages and influence of the range is delivered clearly across to 360 partners and in line with the brands and the departments
