Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a creative, organised and energetic Marketing Coordinator with strong social media expertise and experience within the travel or tourism industry. The primary focus of the position will be social media, content creation and general marketing coordination, while also supporting the Marketing Manager with selected travel trade activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage the monthly social media content calendar.
Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
Capture and edit basic photographs and short-form videos.
Write captions, newsletters, promotional copy and website content.
Schedule content, respond to online enquiries and monitor social media performance.
Coordinate influencers, media visits, content shoots and campaign deliverables.
Assist with brochures, presentations, promotional material, events and product launches.
Liaise with digital agencies and suppliers regarding campaigns and website updates.
Maintain the company’s marketing database and digital content library.
Support the Marketing Manager with trade partner communication, sales calls, presentations, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
Assist at selected trade shows, workshops and industry events.
Ensure all marketing content is accurate, professional and aligned with the company’s brand.

Requirements:
A relevant qualification in Marketing, Tourism, Communications or a related field.
At least two years’ marketing experience, preferably within tourism, hospitality or aviation.
A good understanding of the travel trade, including tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, hotels and concierge teams.
Proven experience managing business social media platforms.
Strong writing, communication and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of Canva and basic photo and video editing.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media scheduling tools.
A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
Willingness to attend occasional after-hours events.

Pay: From R18 000,00 per month
