Marketing Coordinator

Location: Piquetberg Mall, Piketberg, Western Cape

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all marketing, promotional, and community engagement activities for Piquetberg Mall. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing foot traffic, supporting tenant success, strengthening the mall's brand, and positioning Piquetberg Mall as the preferred shopping and community destination in the Bergrivier region.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Management

• Develop and implement the annual marketing strategy and marketing calendar.
• Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, promotional activities, and centre-wide events.
• Maintain and strengthen the Piquetberg Mall brand across all communication channels.
• Coordinate the production of marketing material, signage, advertisements, and promotional displays.

Digital Marketing

• Manage the mall's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Create engaging content, including photography, videos, graphics, and promotional campaigns.
• Manage online competitions, customer engagement, and community interaction.
• Monitor digital marketing performance and provide monthly reports.

Events & Promotions

• Plan, coordinate, and execute mall events and promotional activations.
• Organise school holiday programmes, community events, exhibitions, product launches, and entertainment.
• Coordinate external suppliers, promoters, entertainers, and event logistics.
• Ensure all events comply with safety and operational requirements.

Tenant Relations

• Work closely with tenants to promote store openings, product launches, and special offers.
• Develop collaborative marketing campaigns with retailers.
• Assist tenants with promotional opportunities within the mall.
• Maintain positive relationships with tenants and external stakeholders.

Community Engagement

• Build relationships with schools, businesses, charities, municipalities, sports clubs, and community organisations.
• Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities that strengthen the mall's community presence.
• Represent Piquetberg Mall at relevant networking and community events.

Advertising & Revenue Generation

• Manage the leasing and booking of promotional courts, exhibition space, and advertising opportunities.
• Identify new revenue-generating marketing initiatives.
• Assist with sponsorship opportunities for mall events.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience planning and executing successful marketing campaigns, community events, and promotional activations.
• Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
• Applicants must currently reside in Piketberg or the immediate surrounding area, or be willing to relocate before commencing employment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Piketberg community, local businesses, schools, sports clubs, community organisations, and key stakeholders.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
