Marketing Coordinator (Volunteer Opportunity)

ROCKBlue is seeking a talented and passionate Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a volunteer, part-time basis. You will work closely with our Marketing Director to manage the day-to-day operation and marketing content to drive brand awareness, reach, and revenue. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about driving impact on the world, while growing into a seasoned marketing professional.

ROCKBlue is a non-profit that aims to solve the growing gap between reliable water supply and accelerating urban demand by leveraging its large network of highly experienced specialists. We focus on strengthening the ability of water and sanitation utilities to provide these services to the poorest individuals in cities and towns across the developing world. Preferred Experience + Attributes

● Background: Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, PR or journalism.

● Graphic Design: Experienced with Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop.

● Project Management: An ability to be organized and communicate in a focused,

concise manner.

● Communication: Speak, write, and give direction in a way that is easily understood by

the internal or external audience.

● Content Marketing: While not the focus of the role, support copywriting needs for social

and email

● Content Management: Manage content in a variety of formats and channels.

● Social Media: Know how to primarily utilise LinkedIn for effective engagement.

Knowledge of other social media platforms. Such as Instagram and Facebook will be

beneficial.

● Desire to Grow as a Marketing Professional: You will collaborate with a wide variety

of global experts in the fields of marketing, fundraising, and non-profit management. We

want someone ready to take on a wide range of tasks, who is not afraid to ask questions

but also confident enough to move forward without too much hand-holding.

Additional Responsibilities (Not Required)

● SEO and search-enabled copywriting

● Creative file management (images, video, etc.)

● Basic graphic design (photoshop, canvas)

● Email management (Mailchimp)

● CMS experience (Wordpress)

Compensation

This role is on a volunteer basis. With your support, we hope to drive considerable fundraising efforts, enabling future budget creation and the ability to make this a paid position as soon as possible.

Time commitment: This is a virtual, part-time position

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week, based on your availability
