Job description
Marketing Manager
Remote — South Africa | Full-Time
The Role
Morgan & Westfield is a US-based business brokerage and M&A firm. We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager who can take ownership of our marketing activities and consistently turn plans into completed work.
This is not a role for someone who only develops strategy, manages agencies, or delegates execution. You will personally manage and complete a wide range of marketing projects, including content, email campaigns, website updates, digital marketing, reporting, and marketing operations.
You must be organized, commercially minded, comfortable working independently, and able to manage several projects without constant supervision.
M&A experience is not required. We will teach you our industry, clients, and processes.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities may include:
- Plan and manage the marketing calendar.
- Coordinate marketing projects from concept through completion.
- Write, edit, and publish content.
- Manage marketing campaigns and databases.
- Maintain and improve website content and landing pages.
- Coordinate SEO and content optimization.
- Manage business-for-sale listings across relevant platforms.
- Support social media and other digital marketing activities.
- Create and update marketing materials, presentations, and other collateral.
- Track campaign performance, website traffic, leads, and other marketing KPIs.
- Prepare regular marketing reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with designers, developers, writers, and other contractors when required.
- Review marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality before publication.
- Research competitors, markets, keywords, audiences, and new marketing opportunities.
- Maintain organized marketing files, trackers, systems, and processes.
- Test new ideas and measure whether they produce results.
- Support other marketing priorities as required.
Who We Are Looking For
You will be a strong fit if you:
- Take ownership of projects and follow them through to completion.
- Can develop a plan and execute it yourself.
- Write clear, professional English.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Understand that marketing should produce measurable business results.
- Are comfortable working with data and marketing analytics.
- Can manage several campaigns and projects simultaneously.
- Learn new software and processes quickly.
- Can work independently without constant reminders or supervision.
- Identify problems and propose practical solutions.
- Are comfortable switching between strategic work and routine execution.
- Accept feedback and apply it quickly.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong professional experience in marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, or a similar role.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills.
- Experience managing websites and online content.
- Experience with email marketing.
- Working knowledge of SEO and digital marketing.
- Experience with Google Analytics and other marketing reporting tools.
- Strong Google Workspace skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience working independently in a remote environment.
- At least 40 hours of availability per week.
- Ability to work hours that overlap with the US business day.
Experience marketing professional services, financial services, B2B companies, or other complex services would be helpful but is not required.
The job title matters less than your ability to take ownership, execute consistently, and produce measurable results.
Remote-Work Requirements
You must have:
- A reliable high-speed fibre internet connection.
- Backup internet.
- Backup power for outages.
- A quiet, professional workspace.
- A reliable computer suitable for full-time remote work.
