Role Purpose

The Marketing Manager will support the planning, execution and optimisation of marketing initiatives across multiple Business Units (BU’s).

The role focuses on campaign coordination, brand alignment, communication development, CRM campaign management and event marketing support to drive brand awareness, client engagement and lead generation.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing campaigns are executed efficiently, aligned with company CI standards, and measured for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Execution

• Assist in developing communication strategies and marketing action plans for specific Business Units.
• Coordinate and support the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Monitor campaign performance during execution and optimise marketing activities where required.
• Ensure campaigns align with brand positioning and overall business strategy.

Marketing Communications & CRM

• Create and develop communication pieces within the CRM system.
• Draft campaign communication including invitations, newsletters, announcements and post-event messaging.
• Provide clear briefs for all design elements required for campaigns.
• Ensure accurate distribution lists and communication targeting.

Design & Brand Support

• Develop marketing assets including:
• Presentations
• Posters
• Campaign collateral
• Digital assets
• Ensure all communication and materials comply with company brand and corporate identity guidelines.

Digital Marketing & Brand Awareness

• Support initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive website traffic.
• Assist with digital marketing initiatives including email marketing and campaign promotions.
• Collaborate with business units to identify cross-selling marketing opportunities.

Campaign Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor campaign performance and engagement metrics.
• Compile campaign reports highlighting key insights and results.
• Provide recommendations to improve future campaign outcomes.

Event & Webinar Management

• Assist with the coordination and marketing of company events across business units.
• Manage webinar logistics including:
• Setting up invitations
• Managing registration systems
• Hosting and running webinars
• Coordinating technical requirements
• Create and distribute post-webinar communication and follow-up content.

Quality Assurance & Stakeholder Coordination

• Ensure marketing activities across BU’s align with brand standards and campaign objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure campaign readiness and quality delivery.
• Support the marketing team in maintaining consistent messaging across all channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed degree in Marketing
• 2- 5 years’ working experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languages
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and marketing metrics systems.

Technical Skills

• CRM marketing systems
• Email marketing platforms
• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Marketing analytics and reporting
• Basic design capability (Canva / Adobe / PowerPoint design)
• Webinar platforms (Teams / Zoom / similar)
