Location: V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

Position Overview

Food Concepts 360 is a leading hospitality consultancy specializing in restaurant concept development, operational excellence,

brand strategy, market positioning, hospitality advisory services, and restaurant turnaround solutions. We partner with

restaurant owners, hospitality groups, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, and lifestyle brands to create, launch, reposition,

and grow successful hospitality businesses.

Based at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, we are seeking an exceptional Marketing, PR & Brand Manager to join our

growing team and play a pivotal role in elevating both the Food Concepts 360 brand and the brands of our consultancy clients.

This is a senior strategic and operational role requiring a highly creative, commercially astute, and professionally polished

individual capable of operating at executive level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing

marketing, branding, public relations, communications, and social media strategies across Food Concepts 360, its associated

brands, and a portfolio of hospitality consultancy clients.

In addition to managing the marketing and brand positioning of Food Concepts 360, the successful candidate will serve as an

extension of our consulting team, providing hands-on marketing, PR, branding, and communications support to client projects.

This includes developing strategies, overseeing implementation, managing campaigns, creating content, coordinating launches,

driving client engagement, and ensuring that client brands achieve measurable growth, visibility, and commercial success.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hospitality, luxury and lifestyle branding, customer experience, digital

marketing, media relations, and business development, with the ability to engage confidently with high-profile clients, industry

stakeholders, and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Management & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and branding strategies across Food Concepts 360, associated brands,

and consultancy clients.

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain brand identities that resonate with target markets.
  • Develop monthly and annual marketing plans, promotional calendars, and campaign strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure consistency of brand messaging and positioning across all customer touchpoints.

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Develop and manage social media strategies across all relevant platforms.
  • Create, schedule, and oversee engaging content including photography, videography, reels, stories, blogs, newsletters,

and promotional campaigns.

  • Manage online communities and customer engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends and implement innovative content strategies.
  • Oversee paid social media advertising and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Develop content calendars and communication plans for both internal brands and consultancy clients.

Public Relations & Media Relations

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, bloggers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate media coverage, interviews, restaurant launches, events, and brand activations.
  • Manage brand reputation and assist with crisis communication when required.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations that enhance brand exposure.

Restaurant Concept Development, Consulting & Client Services

  • Collaborate closely with the Food Concepts 360 consulting team on hospitality, restaurant, hotel, lifestyle, and mixeduse

development projects.

  • Support the development of new restaurant and hospitality concepts, brand identities, customer journeys, and market

positioning strategies.

  • Participate in client workshops, strategy sessions, presentations, and project meetings.
  • Develop and implement marketing, branding, PR, and communications strategies for both Food Concepts 360 and

consultancy clients.

  • Manage client marketing accounts and serve as a key point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Create and oversee social media content calendars, digital campaigns, public relations initiatives, and promotional

activities for client brands.

  • Coordinate and manage restaurant launches, rebranding initiatives, brand activations, media events, and promotional

campaigns.

  • Prepare professional client presentations, brand strategy documents, marketing plans, and concept proposals.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend assessments to support consulting

recommendations.

  • Drive implementation of approved marketing and branding strategies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within

budget, and to the highest professional standards.

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with regular reporting, insights, and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client visibility, customer engagement, commercial performance, and brand equity.
  • Support business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and thought leadership activities for Food Concepts

360.

  • Represent Food Concepts 360 professionally at industry events, client meetings, launches, networking functions, and

media engagements.

Digital Marketing & Marketing Services

  • Manage website content, email marketing campaigns, and online promotional activities.
  • Coordinate marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, advertisements, menus, sales tools, and

promotional materials.

  • Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, developers, and external suppliers to ensure exceptional

brand execution.

  • Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across digital platforms.
  • Implement and monitor SEO, digital marketing, and lead-generation initiatives where required.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance across all marketing channels.
  • Measure return on investment (ROI) and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare regular marketing, PR, and social media performance reports for management and clients.
  • Track key performance indicators and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Present insights and recommendations to both internal stakeholders and consultancy clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Branding, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing, branding, PR, communications, or social media management role.
  • Hospitality, restaurant, food & beverage, hotel, lifestyle, tourism, or luxury brand experience will be highly

advantageous.

  • Experience working within a hospitality consultancy, branding agency, restaurant group, hotel group, or marketing

agency environment.

  • Proven experience managing multiple brands and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of branding, public relations, customer engagement, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and related marketing tools.
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Photography and videography experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
