VACANCY: MARKETING PRACTITIONER

Make a difference every day by becoming part of an organisation that saves lives. The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the collection and processing. We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Practitioner to join our Marketing and Public Relations team. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of regional blood donor clinics. You will be instrumental in promoting the importance of blood donation, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and implementing creative campaigns to ensure clinics meet their collection targets.
Responsibilities
- Promote and manage a portfolio of blood donor clinics across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donor representatives, clinic teams, and community leaders.
- Plan and execute awareness campaigns and special events, especially during periods of blood shortages.
- Represent the organisation through presentations, educational talks, exhibitions, and school programs.
- Identify and establish new clinic sites and awareness opportunities in line with strategic goals.
- Submit regular reports on clinic performance and marketing initiatives.
- Comply with safety regulations and ensure health standards are maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- 3-4 Year Diploma/Degree in Public Relations/ Marketing or Communication.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Marketing environment
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Own reliable transport

- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and a sense of accountability
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
