Marketing & Social Media Student - Part Time

Location: Remote with occasional boat trips from Hout Bay.

Ocean Nomad is a new boat charter venture based in Hout Bay. We’re looking for a creative marketing or social media student to help us build the brand from the ground up. Our goal is to offer memorable boat experiences and grow Ocean Nomad into an ocean lifestyle brand.

You’ll help plan our social media strategy, create posts and short videos, edit footage, and support paid campaigns, including Google Ads. The workload will vary with the boating season: busier periods may involve more content creation and boat trips, while quieter periods may involve fewer hours. We’ll agree on your tasks and hours together in advance.

You’d be a great fit if you:

• Know how to create engaging social media content and plan a content strategy
• Can shoot and edit short-form video
• Have some experience with paid advertising
• Enjoy the ocean and want to help shape a new brand

Photography and filming skills are a big plus, as is experience building or managing websites. You’ll also have opportunities to join boat trips to capture content firsthand. We have GoPros and drones available to use.

This is a chance to build a portfolio, develop your marketing and video editing skills, and play a real part in shaping Ocean Nomad from day one.
