Marketing Specialist - South Africa

Apollo Tyres Ltd is an international tyre manufacturer and the leading tyre brand in India. The company has multiple manufacturing units in India and a unit each in The Netherlands and Hungary. The company markets its products under its two global brands – Apollo and Vredestein, and its products are available in over 100 countries through a vast network of branded, exclusive and multi-product outlets.

We are looking to strengthen our Marketing team with a Marketing Specialist based in (Centurion) Gauteng. In this role, you will support the execution of marketing activities across the Africa Cluster, with a primary focus on South Africa.

You will work closely with local Sales teams to drive impactful marketing initiatives and collaborate with the central Marketing team to localize regional and global campaigns. You will report directly to the Head, Africa Region.

What are Your Responsibilities?

Marketing Planning & Execution

Develop a (trade) marketing calendar in collaboration with the Country Sales Manager and (Key) Account Managers

Plan and execute activities to increase brand awareness and drive sales

Ensure timely and effective implementation of agreed initiatives

Marketing & Communication (MarCom) Support

Coordinate marketing print materials (design, ordering and distribution)

Create customer advertisements and promotional materials

Support local new product launches

Provide digital marketing support and localize social media content

Events & Trade Fairs

Plan and execute customer visits and events

Support the organization of partner and network events

Coordinate and participate in trade fairs and industry events

Localization of Marketing Materials

Adapt and translate marketing materials for the local market (e.g., price lists, website content, brochures)

What You Bring?

We are looking for a strong team player with a commercial mindset and excellent interpersonal skills. You bring creativity, clear communication, and analytical thinking to your work. Experience in trade marketing is essential.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in marketing and or Visual Communication (minimum)

3–5 years of experience in (trade) marketing roles

Event planning experience

Graphic Design experience

Experience in the tyre industry is an advantage

Fluency in Afrikaans and English (required) Absolute must

Willingness and ability to travel regularly
