Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Certificate in Inventory / Supply Chain / Operations Management.
- Minimum of 3-to-5-years’ experience in a production environment.
- 1 – 2 years Supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Computer literacy skills (MS Office and Excel).
- AMTRACK internal system’s experience will be advantageous.
- Flexible in terms of working hours (overtime and weekend work when required). Behavioural Dimensions Required

- Provide daily updates and feedback on previous shift and delays.
- Ensure constant feedback on email communication.
- Adjust production lead times and ensure allocations are always current.
- Allocate and distribute workload per shift for optimal productivity to meet deadlines.
- Ensure that special arrangements/long runs are planned for to meet all deadlines.
- Maintain long run list, keep current and amended daily.
- Print shift handovers daily to provide shift capacity.
- Ensure all jobs are loaded on internal online system (Tcpro).
- Ensure each shift is allocated the correct number of staffing daily.
- Ensure that a preparation list is completed daily and sent to production departments for both shifts.
- Calculate run times, estimate completion time, and adjust lead times where applicable.
- Monitor both nightshift and dayshift Planners and the production report to ensure smooth running of operations.
- Resolve issues experienced in operations.
- Timeously plan for possible weekend shifts.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards in accordance with policies. Additional Information
