Job description
Bridge Tutoring Services is expanding its reach in Ruimsig! We are seeking a dedicated, high-impact Mathematics Tutor to provide in-person, part-time academic support to high school learners.
Whether a student is tackling foundational high school algebra or preparing for final Matric examinations, we need a specialist who can transform abstract concepts into clear, logical steps.
The Role
- Location: In-person sessions in Ruimsig, Roodepoort and surrounding areas.
- Level: Grade 8 to Grade 12 (Senior & FET Phase Mathematics).
- Curriculum: Solid grasp of CAPS and IEB frameworks.
- Format: 1-on-1 home lessons and/or small group sessions.
- Type: Part-time / Hourly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured Mathematics lessons tailored to each student's learning style.
- Break down challenging topics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical & Euclidean Geometry, and Calculus.
- Build problem-solving confidence using targeted exam techniques and past paper drills.
- Communicate regular, constructive progress updates to parents.
What We’re Looking For
- Academic Record: Distinction (Level 7) in Matric Mathematics.
- Background: Currently studying towards or holds a degree in Engineering, Actuarial Science, BSc, or Education.
- Location & Mobility: Must reside in or have reliable transport to travel around Ruimsig / Roodepoort .
- Soft Skills: Patient, articulate, highly reliable, and able to motivate high school students.
