McDonalds (Bookkeeper)

Satellite Teams is looking for a highly experienced Bookkeeper with a hands-on background in McDonald’s franchise operations to support a multi-unit restaurant group. This role requires someone who can step in immediately, manage full-cycle bookkeeping, and confidently work within McDonald’s proprietary financial systems from day one.

This is a critical, high-trust role managing financial operations across multiple locations under one corporation. As the bookkeeper, you will own full-cycle monthly bookkeeping across multiple McDonald’s locations, ensuring accurate reporting, timely close, and clean financial records year-round. The role is hands-on and deadline-driven, with a strong focus on reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping across multiple McDonald’s locations
• Maintain general ledger and trial balance accuracy
• Perform month-end close aligned with strict reporting deadlines

Sales, Expenses & Reconciliation

• Post daily and weekly sales from McDonald’s systems
• Record and reconcile supplier invoices
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain clean and organized financial records

Payroll & Tax Compliance

• Reconcile payroll data from external providers
• Ensure accurate payroll tax remittances
• Prepare and confirm sales tax (HST/GST) filings

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial reports including Profit & Loss and cash flow
• Monitor key metrics such as sales, food costs, labor, and operating expenses
• Support internal and external financial review processes

Account Management

• Maintain shareholder/owner accounts with clear separation of business vs. personal transactions
• Ensure all financial records are audit-ready and defensible

Year-End Support

• Keep books clean and organized to minimize year-end adjustments
• Support external accountants during review or reporting processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Non-Negotiable Requirement

• Hands-on experience with McDonald’s proprietary financial and/or POS systems
• Candidates must have direct experience working within a McDonald’s franchise environment.

Required

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within a McDonald’s franchise
• Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Experience handling multi-entity or multi-location financials
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines independently
