Media Buyer

Function: Meta Ads | Performance Marketing | D2C

Reports to: Growth Strategist

Location: South Africa - Remote Collaboration

Compensation: R38,000 - R40,000 per month.

As we continue to scale, we are looking for an experienced Media Buyer to manage and optimise paid social campaigns across a portfolio of approximately 10 client accounts. This role is focused primarily on Meta Ads , with exposure to TikTok advertising where applicable. You will be responsible for planning, launching, managing, and scaling campaigns while collaborating closely with Growth Strategists and Creative Strategists to drive measurable business outcomes for our clients.

The Role:

As a Media Buyer, you will take ownership of campaign performance across multiple client accounts, ensuring advertising strategies are executed effectively and aligned with client objectives. You will analyse performance data, identify opportunities for growth, execute structured testing frameworks, and make informed optimisation decisions to improve key performance metrics such as:

  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
  • Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)
  • New Customer CPA (NC-CPA)
  • Revenue Growth
  • Customer Acquisition Efficiency

You will also play a key role in translating campaign insights into actionable recommendations for both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management

  • Build, launch, and manage Meta advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and execute paid social strategies aligned with client objectives and KPIs.
  • Monitor campaign performance and implement ongoing optimisations.
  • Manage advertising budgets and bidding strategies effectively.
  • Conduct ad account audits and use findings to inform strategic direction.
  • Maintain excellent ad account structure, organisation, and naming conventions.

Performance Optimisation

  • Analyse Meta Ads Manager and Triple Whale data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Execute structured testing frameworks across creative, audiences, placements, and campaign strategies.
  • Scale winning campaigns while identifying underperforming elements to improve or pause.
  • Stay up to date with platform changes and emerging advertising opportunities.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Growth Strategists to develop and execute account strategies.
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategists by providing performance insights that improve creative output.
  • Communicate key learnings, bottlenecks, opportunities, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Produce clear and insightful weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Present campaign results and strategic recommendations confidently to clients.

Required Experience & Skills:

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years' experience running paid social campaigns on Meta.
  • Proven experience managing significant advertising budgets, ideally £500,000+ per month .
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing principles and direct-response advertising.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience using attribution and reporting tools, including Triple Whale.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify and DTC e-commerce businesses.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience running both Meta and TikTok Ads for e-commerce brands.
  • Previous agency experience.
  • Experience working with 7- or 8-figure e-commerce brands.
  • Strong understanding of creative testing and scaling methodologies.
