Job description

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
- Administration, Billing and Collecting, Medical Secretary, Nursing, or any relevant qualification.
- Experience in debt collection in the healthcare environment.
- Experience and knowledge of medical ICD-10 / RPL codes.
- Knowledge and experience working with GoodX, medEDI, Vericlaim, and Elixir.

- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, growing team environment.
- Intermediate Computer Skills, including but not limited to MS Office, Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Claims Processing: Capture and submit claims to various medical schemes and administrators
- Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile payments received from patients and medical schemes.
- Claim Management: Address claim rejections from medical schemes. Identify reasons for rejections and take action accordingly. Collect outstanding debt from debtors in a timely fashion.
- Continuous development: Stay compliant with healthcare billing regulations and protocols of different administrative bodies.
- Software: Utilize billing software to manage billing and financial data efficiently.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with team leaders and other administrative staff to resolve billing and payment issues and maintain a positive working environment
