Job Title: Merchandiser
Job Summary:
A Merchandiser is responsible for planning, sourcing, displaying, and monitoring products to maximize sales and customer satisfaction. They ensure the right products are available at the right place, time, quantity, and price while maintaining attractive product displays and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage product assortment based on customer demand and market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Arrange attractive product displays to increase sales.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely product delivery.
- Analyze sales reports and identify slow- and fast-moving items.
- Negotiate pricing and promotional activities with suppliers.
- Ensure products are correctly priced and labeled.
- Conduct regular store visits to check product availability and merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams for promotional campaigns.
- Prepare merchandising reports and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in merchandising or retail (preferred).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
