Role Description The Merchandiser role is a full-time, on-site position. In this role, the Merchandiser is responsible for implementing merchandising plans, ensuring products are correctly displayed, priced, and stocked in line with brand and agency standards. Day-to-day tasks include visiting designated pharmacy and retail locations, setting up promotional displays, monitoring inventory levels, and capturing data related to sales and product performance. The Merchandiser will work closely with store staff to maintain strong relationships, support in-store sales initiatives, and report on merchandising activities and insights. This role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to schedules, and accurate documentation of store visits and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with store teams and support positive shopper experiences.
• Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to understand store operations, influence product performance, and support sales targets.
• Candidates should possess Marketing awareness to implement promotional activities and align merchandising with brand and campaign objectives.
• Candidates should have solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple store visits and tasks efficiently.
• Candidates should ideally have prior experience in merchandising, pharmacy, FMCG, or related retail environments.
• Candidates should be comfortable working on-site, with reliable transport and the ability to travel between locations in Bloemfontein as required.
• Candidates should have basic proficiency in using digital tools for reporting, data capture, and communication.
• A relevant qualification in retail, marketing, business, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
