Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Verification Officer Certificate appointment by NRCS under Legal

Metrology Act 2014 (9 of 2014), Section 8(2).

• Three (3) to five years’ relevant experience with supervisory

experience.

• Experience in water meter testing laboratory environment.
• Technical knowledge of the provision of water and sanitation

services, metering processes.

• Computer Literacy: Ms Office.
• A valid code B code driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Supervision and Control of Water meter testing process in order to

improve and maintain a high level of water meter accuracy.

• Provides information to stakeholders on all meter test activities

and procedures.

• Conducting stock control of Water Meters in order to manage

stock.

• Manage the functioning of the risk, health and safety programmes

within the Meter Laboratory to ensure compliance with the

Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Plan, co-ordinate and assists with the processes related to

verification and provision of information.

• Assisting with the key performance areas and critical outputs of

personnel and monitor them.
