Metronomia Clinical Research Bloemfontein - IT Manager

We are looking for a reliable and service-minded IT Manager to help us maintain and continuously improve Metronomia's IT systems.

Your responsibilities

• Purchasing, managing, administering and maintaining server systems, virtualization systems, client PCs and our entire network.
• Providing IT support and acting as a helpdesk contact for our employees.
• Planning, coordinating and delivering IT projects, from requirements gathering through to implementation and rollout.
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA) and other departments on computerized systems validation projects, and supporting the development and review of IT-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Setting up and maintaining IT documentation, including compliance with change management procedures.
• Analyzing our IT systems, security systems and software applications, and recommending appropriate changes and enhancements to your supervisor.
• Reporting on your ongoing activities and supporting Metronomia's continuous improvement efforts.
• Managing IT systems-related alerts and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Supporting collaboration across departments to help improve processes and efficiency.
• Taking on additional duties as required.

Your profile

• A degree in computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working experience with Windows and Linux Server environments, Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Knowledge of information security principles.
• Experience in IT project management, including planning and coordinating projects from requirements to rollout.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.
• Proficiency in English.
• A flexible, hands-on attitude and enthusiasm for learning new things.
• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks, prioritize your workload, and work with attention to detail.

Pay: R1,00 - R2,00 per month

Education:

• Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience:

• IT Project Management planning from requirements to rollout: 5 years (Preferred)
• Windows, Linux Server environments, Microsoft 365 & Azure: 5 years (Preferred)
• Knowledge of information security principles: 5 years (Preferred)
