Job description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Microsoft 365 Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering Microsoft 365 migration projects across customer environments. This includes tenant-to-tenant migrations, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams migrations. The role plays a key part in supporting First Distribution's Modern Work and Security strategy by ensuring seamless migrations, minimizing business disruption, and enabling successful user adoption.
MICROSOFT 365 ENGINEER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Microsoft 365 Migrations
- Plan, design, and execute end-to-end Microsoft 365 migration projects.
- Perform migration readiness assessments and develop migration strategies.
- Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations for Microsoft 365 workloads.
- Configure Microsoft 365 tenants, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, storage, and identity requirements throughout migration projects.
- Validate migration outcomes and ensure data integrity.
- Provide post-migration support and issue resolution.
Technical Delivery
- Troubleshoot migration, authentication, and access-related issues.
- Utilize migration tools such as BitTitan and Quest to facilitate migration activities.
- Develop and execute migration scripts using PowerShell where applicable.
- Ensure migration activities follow Microsoft best practices and security standards.
Customer Engagement
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, recommendations, and project updates.
- Support management initiatives and user adoption activities.
- Deliver migration documentation and knowledge transfer where required.
Project Management
- Track migration progress against agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
Internal training associated with competencies:

REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant IT qualification (degree, diploma, or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field).
- Strong interest in Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies.
- Good understanding of:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Basic identity and security concepts
Certifications (Required)
- Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert (MS-102)
- Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
