Role Overview:

As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the fault-finding, repair, and preventative maintenance of both electrical and mechanical machinery across the manufacturing facility. The role demands a high level of technical proficiency, including hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and the ability to work effectively under the demands of a busy FMCG production environment. You will play a critical role in minimising downtime and ensuring optimal plant performance. This position offers real scope for professional growth within an international company.

Responsibilities:

· Perform fault-finding, diagnosis, and repair on electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment

· Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure continuous plant operation

· Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related faults and control system issues

· Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, circuits, and components in accordance with safety standards

· Identify root causes of recurring mechanical and electrical failures and implement corrective actions

· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise unplanned downtime

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, fault logs, and service reports

· Work extended hours when required to support production continuity and meet operational demands

Min. Requirements:

· Certified Millwright Trade Test (recognised trade certificate is essential)

· N3 Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

· Proven and substantial hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

· Previous experience working within the FMCG industry

· Demonstrated experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

· Proven ability to diagnose and resolve faults on both electrical and mechanical machinery

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical problems and develop effective solutions

· Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours in line with production requirements
