Millwright / Maintenance Technician Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Killarney Gardens, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, overseeing vehicle and light building maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Daily duties include preventative maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, welding, and general mechanical and electrical work. The role also requires sourcing parts and obtaining quotations via phone and email.
Experience with the following equipment is advantageous:
- Vacuum machines
- Conveyor systems
- Pumps
- Basic electrical systems
- Refrigeration systems
The position requires close collaboration with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain smooth factory operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Valid driver’s licence
- Experience in a food production environment is advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Competent with power tools, hand tools, and light welding
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and safety standards
- Ability to work well within a team
- Millwright/mechanical qualification or apprenticeship preferred but not essential
- Practical hands-on experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications
Pay: From R17 500,00 per month
