Job Advert Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Attend to breakdowns and failures during shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Execute planned maintenance work during shutdowns
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance plant reliability
- Complete and submit work orders and maintenance reports accurately and timeously
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and optimisation of plant equipment
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving initiatives
- Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- N3 qualification in Millwright trade (essential)
- Trade Test: Millwright (essential)
- N4 or higher qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment
Technical Experience
Experience working with:
- Pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings
- Motors, PLCs, MCCs, VSDs, and transformers
- Lubrication systems and mechanical seals
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
- Ability to work under pressure and on rotational shifts
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
