Job Advert Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
• Attend to breakdowns and failures during shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Execute planned maintenance work during shutdowns
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance plant reliability
• Complete and submit work orders and maintenance reports accurately and timeously
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and optimisation of plant equipment
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving initiatives
• Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (essential)
• N3 qualification in Millwright trade (essential)
• Trade Test: Millwright (essential)
• N4 or higher qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment

Technical Experience

Experience working with:

• Pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings
• Motors, PLCs, MCCs, VSDs, and transformers
• Lubrication systems and mechanical seals
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
• Ability to work under pressure and on rotational shifts
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
