Your Role
We are seeking a qualified Millwright to join our Multi Green team. This role is critical to the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our production and plant operations.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and optimisation of electrical, mechanical, and automated systems, ensuring that plant equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.
This is a hands-on, operational role requiring a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is committed to maintaining high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, commission, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems within the plant
- Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on a wide range of systems (motors, pumps, gearboxes, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics)
- Maintain and support automation systems and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with required standards
- Support plant infrastructure maintenance, including building, mechanical, and site-related repairs
- Manufacture, fit, and repair machine components where required
- Assist in reducing breakdowns and improving overall plant performance and uptime
- Participate in daily maintenance planning and collaborate with production teams
- Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Guide and mentor assistants and apprentices, contributing to team capability building
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Qualified Millwright (Trade Test essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post trade test in a production or manufacturing environment
- Code B driver’s license
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, and plant systems
- Welding, boiler making, or machining experience will be advantageous
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
