Job description
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
Role Purpose To carry out tasks in the facilities or any other maintenance tasks decided upon by the Maintenance Foreman / Plant Foreman.
Performs technical work and using standard operating procedures and trade qualifications and or previous experience.
Works closely with operation and other technical disciplines.
Builds up and maintains a high level of knowledge and competence in his specialized field.
Actively supports the safety culture by applying the relevant local safety policies and guidelines / procedures
Responsibilities Work shifts as per IWC policies
Perform any work allocated by a Foreman without direct supervision.
Carry out minor and major tasks in the plant, workshop or at any other facilities during production / operation processes without direct supervision.
Performs any allocated work from Projects or any other IWC directive department.
Applies preventative, predictive, and reactive tasks according to IWC standards and procedures and trade test certification.
Manage and supervise any team as and when required.
May coach and instruct other team members.
Stand in for supervisor as and when required.
Reporting of all equipment / plant deviations.
Plan work and solve problems.
Housekeeping according to 5S principles.
Responsible to reach cost, schedule and functionality goals of a given assignment.
Ad hoc duties – as requested by any senior employee.

Minimum Critical Requirements, Knowledge & Skills Good standards of literacy and numeracy
Fluent in English
Good health – physically fit, free of respiratory problems, good sight, and hearing
Must be able to operate while wearing specified PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT)
Strong work ethic
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Trade test Certificate as a Fitter or Millwright
N3 / Grade 12
