MINING SHIFT SUPERVISOR - LOGISTICS (GRADING C4)
Job specification
- Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
- Valid Blasting / Rock Breaking Certificate for a Metalliferous Mine
- Conventional development, trackless, decline blasting experience, and hydropower drilling experience in a trackless mining environment.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Trackless mining
- Proficiency in English and any of the 11 other official languages
- Have the ability and skills to coach, guide, and transfer knowledge
- Computer literacy will be advantageous
- Must be a legal South African citizen
- Valid Driver’s licence & own transport
- Clear Criminal Record
- Must be declared fit by our OMP
Responsibilities
- Work a circle of shifts
- The candidate must have a sound knowledge of trackless mining
- Ability to plan, organize, control, and supervise the work of subordinates on trackless and in development
- Ensure safe and quality underground operations to achieve daily production targets
- Play a key role in taking charge of trackless and development blasting/rock-breaking operations within the designated area of responsibility to ensure the delivery of set targets
- Responsibilities and functions include, but are not limited to, ensuring that all teams adhere and comply with HSE standards, procedures, and policies to ensure successful production
- Perform all related mining duties as may be advised from time to time by the section Mine Overseer
- Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely."
