MIT: STOREMAN (LINBRO PARK, JOHANNESBURG)

We are looking to employ a hard-working storeman to join our MIT team in Johannesburg. MIT supplies production line equipment such as industrial continuous ink jet printers, label applicators etc. for batch & date coding onto FMCG goods.

The Storeman is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and safe physical handling of all inventories within the warehouse. This includes goods receiving, proper storage (adhering to FIFO and 5S principles), order picking, packing and dispatch, all while maintaining high levels of stock integrity and site safety.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurate reporting and weekly stock cycle counts.
• Monitor and report on slow moving stock.
• Manage all stock movements and follow through with any discrepancies that arise.
• Issue stock daily in exact quantities as required.
• Ensure stock is correctly labelled and identified.
• Available for year-end annual stock take.
• Report on variances from previous month.
• Daily reporting and monitoring of storeroom deliveries.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Any other ad hoc tasks that arise at the request of the manager.
• Apply the 5s principles
• Perform daily accurate stock picking and packing according to works orders/customer pick slips.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles while adhering to safety procedures, adhering to safety procedures.
• Adhere to the collection or dispatch rules & regulations for security purposes
• Provide a professional support service to Customer service, Technicians, Salesman as well as the HG Molenaar Agency store
• Process all IBT requests accurately, ensuring that part, batch and serial numbers are correct and match from floor to system processing.

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

• High School Grade 12.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Storeman/Stores Clerk, preferably in an FMCG or fast-paced distribution environment.
• Proficiency in using computerised inventory/stock control systems (ERP systems – for example QMuzik) and barcode scanners.
• Forklift license.
• Excellent numeracy skills and high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical fitness and capability for manual handling tasks.
• Solutions focused approach within a team environment.
• Must reside within close proximity to Linbro Park.
