Job description

Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our busy automotive workshop.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle diagnostics, fault finding and repairs.
Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and repair engine, cooling, braking and suspension systems.
Perform clutch, gearbox and timing-related repairs.
Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
Accurately identify required parts and repairs.
Complete work according to manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.
Conduct quality checks and road tests after repairs.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Complete job cards accurately and report additional faults identified during repairs.

Requirements

Qualified Motor Mechanic/Automotive Technician preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years’ practical workshop experience.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
Experience working on Volkswagen and Audi vehicles will be highly advantageous.
Experience with modern petrol and diesel engines.
Knowledge of DSG transmissions will be advantageous.
Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
Valid driver’s licence.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Must have good attention to detail and take pride in workmanship.
