Job description
We are looking for an experienced Motorcycle / Quad Bike (ATV) Mechanic to join our team in Hazyview.
This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to service, diagnose and repair motorbikes, motorcycles, quad bikes and ATVs.
Experience working on Linhai quad bikes will be given first priority.
What You Will Do
- Service and repair motorcycles and quad bikes.
- Diagnose engine and mechanical problems.
- Find and repair electrical faults.
- Repair and maintain engines, brakes, suspension, steering and drive systems.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Carry out regular services and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect quad bikes and make sure they are safe before use.
- Attend to breakdowns and mechanical problems when required.
- Keep workshop tools and equipment organised.
- Keep basic records of services, repairs and parts used.
What We Are Looking For
You must have:
- Proven experience repairing motorcycles, quad bikes or ATVs.
- Good knowledge of petrol engines.
- Good mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work on engines, brakes, suspension and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose a problem and repair it correctly.
- Ability to work independently.
- A reliable and responsible attitude.
- At least one contactable reference.
A formal qualification is an advantage but is not compulsory.
We are more interested in your practical experience, mechanical knowledge and ability to do the job properly.
Linhai Experience
Experience with Linhai quad bikes/ATVs is a major advantage and these applicants will receive first consideration.
Experience with other ATV and motorcycle brands is also welcome.
Practical Skills Test
Shortlisted applicants may be required to complete a practical mechanical test on a quad bike.
The test may include identifying a fault, diagnosing the problem and explaining or demonstrating the correct repair.
