Nail Technician/Beauty Therapist

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate in Nail Technology or equivalent (SAQA-recognised qualification advantageous)
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Nail Technician (salon experience preferred)
• Proven proficiency in acrylic, gel, and nail art techniques
• Portfolio of previous nail work (Instagram/digital portfolio required)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and precision in application
• Creative flair with the ability to execute both classic and trending nail designs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Time management skills — ability to manage multiple clients efficiently
• Knowledge of nail health, contraindications, and safe product handling

Client Services

• Perform a full range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, acrylic sets, gel nails, nail extensions, overlays, and nail art
• Conduct thorough nail consultations to understand each client's preferences and needs
• Provide personalised recommendations on nail care, products, and styles

Ensure a consistent, high-quality finish on all treatments

Salon Operations

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organised workstation at all times in accordance with hygiene standards
• Properly sterilise and disinfect tools and equipment between each client
• Manage appointment bookings and client records where required
• Assist with product inventory and stock management
• Uphold salon policies and procedures at all times

Client Experience

Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and return visits

Handle client queries and concerns professionally and courteously

• Contribute to a positive, upbeat salon atmosphere
• Actively participate in promotions and social media content where required
