About the Role

We are an expanding and innovative medical device company seeking an experienced and driven National Sales Manager to lead and expand our commercial footprint across South Africa.

This is a strategic leadership role where you will shape our national sales direction, drive revenue growth, and build a high-performing field sales team within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with the company’s goals, driving revenue growth across both the public and private healthcare sectors.
• Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing sales team across multiple regions, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including hospital administrators, procurement leaders, key clinical users, and distributors.
• Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
• Analyse market data and sales metrics to identify growth opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Ensure all sales practices strictly comply with applicable industry regulations and governance, including SAHPRA, SAMED, POPIA, and MedTech Europe.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 7–10 years’ experience in the MedTech, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior or national sales leadership role within the medical field.
• Strong understanding of the South African healthcare landscape, including both the public and private sectors.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding national sales targets.
• Strong operational acumen.
• CRM proficiency.
• Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills.
