At Tangent Connect , we are looking for an Intermediate Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with enterprise technology, and being part of a team that doesn't just maintain networks, but continuously improves them.

If you have 3 to 5 years of network engineering experience , strong hands on capability, and you are ready to take your technical career further, this could be your next move.

🌐 What You'll Be Responsible For You will work across enterprise network environments, helping design, implement, secure, support and optimise network infrastructure for Tangent and our clients.

Your Day To Day Will Include 🔹 Designing and implementing network solutions

🔹 Configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs

🔹 Monitoring network performance and resolving complex incidents

🔹 Troubleshooting outages and identifying the real root cause

🔹 Implementing network security across enterprise environments

🔹 Performing upgrades, maintenance and security configuration

🔹 Working alongside network architects, security specialists and project teams

🔹 Keeping network documentation accurate and up to date

🔹 Finding opportunities to improve network performance, stability and efficiency

🔥 THE TECHNOLOGY YOU'LL WORK WITH

We are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable getting hands on with:

Cisco Meraki & Catalyst, compulsory Fortinet, compulsory Huawei Enterprise Networking, compulsory Experience With The Following Would Be An Advantage

• WLAN design and support
• Unified Communications / Voice infrastructure

✔ Understands networking, protocols, routing, switching and firewalls

✔ Can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders

✔ Works well with architects, engineers, security teams and project delivery teams

✔ Wants to keep learning and expanding your technical capability

🎓 YOUR BACKGROUND

We Are Looking For 3 to 5 years' professional network engineering experience A relevant degree, diploma or equivalent practical experience.

Networking Certification, Any Of The Following

• CCNA
• CCNP

Vendor Certifications Are Advantageous

• Huawei HCIP
• Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, ECMS
• Fortinet NSE 4

🌍 WHERE YOU'LL WORK

📍 Midrand, Gauteng On site / Hybrid The role is permanent.

Occasional travel to client sites within Africa may be required.
