You have built the technical expertise. You are already solving complex problems, helping other engineers and taking ownership when things go wrong.

Now it is time to lead. Tangent Connect is looking for a Network Team Lead / Junior Manager to become the second in command to our Network Manager / Practice Lead, Cloud Networking.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will remain close to the technology while leading a team, influencing customers and helping shape a growing Cloud Networking practice.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Network Engineers
• Oversee networking projects and managed services
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues
• Provide technical leadership across Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and Huawei environments
• Work across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, VPN, security and cloud networking
• Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders
• Contribute to solution design, technical workshops and project delivery
• Help build repeatable architectures, standards and engineering playbooks
• Support the growth of the Cloud Networking practice

And you will gain exposure to complex mining and industrial environments across Africa , including markets such as Botswana, Zambia and beyond.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for someone who is technically credible, commercially aware, and ready to lead. You Should Have

• 5+ years of hands-on networking and infrastructure experience
• 2+ years leading teams, projects, or technical resources, formally or informally
• Strong enterprise networking experience
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki and/or Huawei
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN and wireless
• Understanding of network security, VPN and cloud networking
• Experience in a managed services, NOC or consulting environment is advantageous
• Exposure to mining, industrial or remote site environments is highly advantageous
• A relevant IT, Telecommunications or Computer Science qualification

CCNA is required , with CCNP and relevant Meraki, Huawei, Fortinet, Cloud or ITIL certifications advantageous.
