Job description

iiNet Connect is looking for a motivated and experienced Network Technician to join our growing team. If you have a passion for networking, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service, we would like to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements

At least 2+ years of experience in a Network Technician or similar technical role.
Valid South African Driver's License.
Strong knowledge of:
Wireless networking
Fibre installations and troubleshooting
Routers, switches, and VLANs
TCP/IP networking
Network diagnostics and fault finding
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to work after hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain wireless and fibre network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and outages.
Perform site visits for installations, maintenance, and support.
Configure and manage networking equipment.
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations and network changes.

Advantageous Skills

Experience with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cambium, or similar networking platforms.
Knowledge of VoIP systems.
Experience working in an ISP environment.
