CTP Cartons & Labels is looking for an experienced New Business Development Manager to drive the national growth of our cups, takeaway buckets and related foodservice packaging business.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing a specialised product category and developing relationships with major QSR, coffee, restaurant, foodservice and FMCG customers across South Africa.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for developing new business and growing the cups and takeaway food packaging portfolio nationally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and securing new business opportunities across South Africa.
• Developing relationships with national and regional QSR, coffee, foodservice, restaurant and FMCG groups.
• Growing existing customer accounts and increasing CTP's share of customer spend.
• Developing and managing a strong sales pipeline and achieving agreed revenue, volume and margin targets.
• Preparing and negotiating commercial proposals and pricing.
• Coordinating new product developments, samples, trials and customer approvals.
• Working closely with production, costing, technical, quality and design teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity and identifying new opportunities.
• Providing accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to management.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5–8 years' experience in B2B sales or business development, with a proven track record of winning new business.
• Experience dealing with large, national or multi-site customers.
• Experience in packaging, printing, FMCG, foodservice or manufacturing will be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with an understanding of pricing, margins and manufacturing costs.
• A proven ability to develop relationships with senior customer and procurement decision-makers.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial and results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally.

This is more than a traditional sales position. You will have the opportunity to build and grow a national business category, identify new markets and customers, and establish CTP as a strategic packaging partner to some of South Africa's leading foodservice and FMCG businesses.
